Modest Map is a new free WordPress plugin by Sourcepole, which enables you to generate a map with MapLibre GL JS, an open-source library for publishing maps with customizable styling. Fast displaying of maps is possible thanks to GPU-accelerated vector tile rendering. A pro version with additional features is planned.
