Maggie Lite is a free WordPress theme from Wpall, suitable for a news portal or magazine website, with a News ticker, two theme color scheme, 3 featured posts layouts, multiple ad sections, CSS3 animations and more.
Maggie Lite comes with dark and light color schemes which can be set through the theme customiser admin.
As well as a news ticker there are 5 blocks on homepage. Featured block is the first one. You can feature top news on the featured block. You can create dedicated post category for featured news, setting that category for the featured block from customizer and then adding news to that category.
Below featured block, there are 4 other blocks where you can display news from different categories. All of them have unique layout.
The slider enables you to:
Chouse the post category for slider
Show or hide controls
Turn on or off auto-transition
Show or hide title
Control the slider transition duration and pause time duration
Choose among two types of slider: single post slider and multiple (3) post slider
