Scheduling Posts In WordPress

Kim Castleberry, writing on business2community.com has posted an interesting article and video “How To Schedule A Post In WordPress”

“The post scheduler can be used to not only schedule posts into the future but also to back-date them as well!

If your scheduled posts tend to frequently report “missed schedule” you may find that WP-Cron Control solves that for you. (This plugin is co-developed by the team at Automattic so should be very stable.)

Extensive post scheduling is best managed with an editorial calendar and for that, I prefer the WordPress Editorial Calendar plugin.

I tend to write and schedule posts in advance. Then, as breaking current news happens, I use the Editorial Calendar, to simply drag and drop the scheduled post to a better date.
