Andrew Nacin writes WordPress 3.0 Thelonious passed 3 million downloads yesterday on the WordPress Dev Blog and that today the plugin directory passed 100 million downloads.

Future plans announced, include:
Improving WordPress.org
Improving the infrastructure of the plugins directory
Better integration with the forums so you can support your users
SVN notifications and improvements to the bug tracker
