Producer theme by asmedia is a highly flexible theme that can be used to build a standard blog with 4 layout options (includes a photo slideshow layout) or a magazine style blog with 3 static layout options and the ability to build your own widgets based layout.

6 possible configurations for left and right sidebars. Ability to hide one or both sidebars on 404, index, search results, single post, and static pages. Includes page templates for additional layout options.

Re-arrange header section items ( logo/slogan row, horizontal menu row, search bar row, hidden leaderboard row). 10 featured category slots available. Sticky posts, feedburner, youtube…

Producer provides an attractive design out of the box. For even greater flexibility use the CSS styling tool (not included) to create a completely new and unique look for your site without editing a single line of code.

Starting with Producer version 2.1.9.5 and higher you can control the thumbnail width, height and position for your featured categories. Control means you can set the values for how many pixels wide the thumbnail should be, how many pixels high, and whether it should float right, float left and not float at all. To do this, you will need to go to Dashboard->Producer Standard Options.

I love the producer theme. I use it for my website everything aberystwyth and i’ve found that the clean layout keeps visitors on the site for longer and that it is easy enough to chop and change the CSS sheets if you have enough style sheet know how and a bit of patience. I’d always check the html before I make changes though, get familiar with the structure! I did contemplate the styling tool, but it costs and I wasn’t sure of the theme until I really tried it out
I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a clean magazine style with plenty of flexibility.
